Nelson Mandela day is an international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, Celebrated annually on 18, July Mandela’s Birthday.
The day was officially declared by the United Nations in November 2009 with the first UN Mandela Day held on July 18th, 2010.
The aim of the day is to honour Mandela’s legacy by encouraging individuals to take action and inspire change in their communities.
The core message of Mandela Day is that everyone has the ability and the responsibility to change the world for the better.
The day is often marked by community service, volunteer work and various activities that promote social justice, Peace and reconciliation.
