LBG closes 40 more branches!
Unite the Union are disappointed that Lloyds Banking Group have decided to further isolate communities with the announcement of 40 more branch closures today, staggeringly already over 20% of the total figure closed last year.
Whilst no colleagues are at risk of redundancy, something Unite welcomes and advocates for no job losses, members may still be asked to move branches which can be stressful in itself. You will remember that last year the bank accepted Unite's ask to pay any incurred additional expenses as a result of branch closures. This does not mean that colleagues are not disadvantaged.
